Job Description

Job Description

1.1 The Materials/QC Clerk is a clerk within the Materials and Quality Control departments. 1.2 This position reports to the Material and QC managers. 1.3 The incumbent will work 5 hours/day in the Materials Department and 3 hours/day in the Quality Control Department. 1.4 The incumbent will handle normal daily activities but should refer unusual situations to the Material and Quality Control managers. 1.5 The incumbent will primarily work in the office area therefore office attire is required. 1.6 The incumbent will however be required to be in the shop area for short periods of time throughout the day. 1.7 The incumbent must be task-oriented and able to follow rigid work instructions in a structured environment. 1.8 The position requires the ability to work independently in carrying out assignments to completion. 1.9 The position also requires a thorough knowledge of the department's activities, as well as the general overall functions of the department. 1.10 Computer literacy is essential. Experience in Microsoft Office which includes Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. 1.11 The incumbent must be able to handle many items simultaneously while maintaining strict confidentiality. 1.12 Excellent communication skills are required to deal with division personnel, vendors, and all levels of personnel in the company. 1.13 The selection will be based on the following:
  • Interviews, Job History, Attendance, and Length of Service will be used if operators are equally scored.

Required Skills

1.1 Responsible for preparing work order packets for production. 1.2 Responsible for preparing and distributing materials department reports. 1.3 Schedules production of Kit Bags, and Inner Tie Rod Housing. 1.4 Will be responsible for generating and following up on SCARS in IVALUA to suppliers. 1.5 Complete scrap reporting for Quality Control. 1.6 Will be the document author for the following Quality Management System documents in Reliance Document Control Module including: Quality Procedures, Work Instructions, Form Control, and Standard Process Control Forms. 1.7 Will be responsible for generating and submitting all new documents in Reliance. 1.8 Will revise and submit all current documents upon receiving document change requests in Reliance.

Required Experience

1.1 High School Degree or GED 1.2 Computer literacy is essential. Experience in Microsoft Office which includes Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
