We are seeking a Global Strategic Pricing CoE Manager, NPI & Product Life Cycle. Reporting directly to the Executive Director Global Strategic Pricing, the Manager NPI and Product Life Cycle Pricing is focused on leading the optimization of profitable share growth in the aftermarket business. In close coordination with Business Line Leaders, Value Stream Simplification Team, Product Marketing, Category Management and Sales Teams, Manager NPI & Life Cycle Pricing focuses on building scalable processes to enable optimization of pricing strategies across the product life cycle.

The Manager will act as a subject matter expert providing strategic pricing process, system and tools leadership, data acquisition and classification methodologies, management and training, working with the multiple senior stakeholders bringing analytical rigor, strategic insights and business judgment to pricing discussions for all product lines at launch, during mid cycle and at the end of the product life cycle.

This is a highly visible senior level individual contributor role with potential to grow into people management in time.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Define pricing process to for NPI optimizing share and margin outcomes at product launch for DRiV After Market parts.
  • Work closely with product management, engineering and marketing teams to embed NPI Pricing process across the organization.
  • Designs modern, simple and scalable pricing processes to classify SKUs to stages in the product life cycle based on VIO, replacement rates and other trends
  • Performs analysis to determine pricing strategies based on analytical rigour leading to optimized sales, profit, and customer outcomes in mid part of product life cycle.
  • In close coordination with Manager - Price Modeling & Process lead strategic and tactical planning process, including financial projections, competitive benchmarking, and price sensitivity analyses to estimate impact of pricing actions along the PLC.
  • Understand cost structures and profitability drivers for the overall business, relevant classes of trade and specific customer deals in partnership with finance organization
  • Develop approach to pricing at the end of product life cycle based on SKU segmentation, customer behaviour and competition
  • In close coordination with Manager - Price Modeling & Process oversee development of metrics and dashboards that monitor price performance along the product life cycle and empower sales and marketing department to deliver results

Required Experience

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Economics, Marketing, Statistics, Finance, or other business driven field required, Master's degree preferred

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 5-7 years professional experience in Strategic Pricing / Revenue Management / Marketing / Sales /Finance in a major corporation
  • Prior experience conducting pricing research, identifying and obtaining scalable dataset for pricing analysis
  • Prior experience successfully implementing pricing approaches along the product life cycle leveraging data analysis and science
  • Strong project and change management skills (PMP Certifications). Prior experience successfully leading change management efforts. Prior experience working across cultures.
  • Strategic mind-set. Able to come up with effective plans in line with organization's objectives within a particular economic situation, set goals and determine priorities, and identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Good business sense. Strong ability to collect and research market and competitor information, to find and evaluate new business opportunities.
  • Proven experience driving revenue and margin growth through pricing initiatives.
  • Proven experience leading highly visible cross-functional projects.
  • Excellent quantitative, data science (Python, R, S++), and modelling skills required.
  • Knowledge of pricing concepts, including elasticity, pricing waterfalls, margin pool analysis etc.
  • Strong background working with financial statements and drivers of profitability.
  • Expert with Microsoft Suite of tools (including PowerBI)
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Professional certification in pricing (Certified Pricing Professional, or equivalent), PMP preferred.
