Job Description

Accountabilities/Duties:

  • Prepares patient meals per order following recipes and safety practices.
  • Adjusts recipe size based on the number servings being prepared.
  • Completes preparation from a pull-guide.
  • Prepares meals for cafe including batch cooking.
  • Prepares meals for catered events.
  • Stores freezer items.
  • Trials new recipes and make adjustments for quality and quantity.
  • Completes taste test items.
  • Completes assigned cleaning per schedule.
  • Communicates with the aides for patients, cafe and catering to maintain the timeliness and quality of meals and food items.
  • Communicates with co-workers regarding meals, recipes, timing.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of one year food service cooking experience preferred.
