Position Summary

Reporting to the Vice President, Commercial - Immuno the Vice President of Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing the U.S immuno marketing strategy to achieve our financial plans. In addition, The V.P. of marketing is also responsible for the leading the Training organization to develop and implement training programs to enable the execution of the strategy. As Vice President of Marketing, you will also work with corporate marketing to drive the U.S. product funnel from product inception to product retirement.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, integration, and implementation of a broad range of marketing activities relative to the strategic direction and positioning of the organization.
  • Provide product development input, both in the US and to the Corporate Marketing group.
  • Own and oversee the strategy and development of all social and digital omni channels, partnerships and digital channel investments
  • Lead and contribute to the development of the US Immuno Diagnostics 3-year strategy; anticipate future opportunities via industry analysis, culture and trend forecasting
  • Lead the strategic planning and optimization of performance marketing channels
  • Champion analytics usage throughout the function to accomplish strategic goals
  • Nurture an environment that rewards the exploration and implementation of new marketing technologies across digital, mobile, and omnichannel platforms to enhance the customer experience and drive brand engagement in new and innovative ways
  • Remain relentlessly up-to-date on emerging and future trends across all relevant industries to identify and grow business opportunities
  • Align pricing strategy using market knowledge and research.
  • Achieve Quarterly and annual financial targets
  • Oversee major Product Launches, Product Portfolio Strategy and Lifecycle Management
  • Develop and manage assigned marketing budgets, including marketing-mix/expense budgets, and global product portfolio sales forecast to achieve financial performance targets for associated P&Ls.
  • Manage partnerships with strategic partners

Education, Experience, and Qualifications

  • Post graduate Marketing qualification, M.B.A, or Graduate qualification in Business or Technology, or demonstrated experience
  • Educational background with a focus on both science and business
  • 5+ years in a management or strategic role in an IVD company, laboratory, clinical, or academic organization with experience relating to diagnostic testing
  • 5+ years marketing experience highly desirable
  • 5+ years leading and developing a Digital Marketing Team
  • Ongoing and developed relationships with thought leaders and key opinion leaders from major clinical, scientific, academic and laboratory organizations
  • High level engagement with appropriate professional societies, e.g.: CAP, AACC, ASCLS, ESA, IDSA, etc.
  • Engagement and relationships with government and other organizations important within the diagnostic market space, e.g.: CDC, FDA, NIH, etc.
  • Strategic and tactical dimension and capabilities
  • Independent, creative, and solution-oriented thinker
  • Knowledge of the in-vitro diagnostics market, the products, the competitors, major customers and the healthcare environment
  • Expertise in the clinical areas of infectious disease and in immunodiagnostic assays
  • Exceptional customer presentation skills, ability to present to both customer and internal executives at a high level
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and manage marketing organizations to achieve both short term objectives and long term vision
  • Skilled at preparing written materials such as reports, presentations and proposals
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
