Job Description

This position supports the Community Health and Partnership team in advancing equitable initiatives and programs to focused on improving community health. This position will primarily focus on supporting outreach and communications, event & meeting support, data entry and other operational support for key initiatives, including Little Moments Count, PowerUp, Make It OK, Teen Leadership Council, community health assessments and plans.. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion, working collaboratively with diverse and cultural communities, both internally and externally.

Work Schedule: 1.0 FTE - (HYBRID) M-F, daytime: hours are variable with some occasional nights as weekends depending on community events or meetings.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate or 2 or more years post-secondary education with a major or emphasis in Business/Communications, Community or Public Health, Education, or any human services related field. Relevant experience and interest with community programs or outreach may be substituted for education.
  • Valid driver's license with access to personal vehicle for driving between office and community locations throughout the Twin Cities Metro and Western Wisconsin care footprint.
  • Positive and adaptable with a desire to succeed.
  • Strong verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders respectfully and inclusively.
  • Able to function independently, be on time and prepared for events and meetings, and prioritize workflow.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Cultural humility, and a commitment to and understanding of issues of diversity, equity and inclusion
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and be very physically active loading, unloading and delivering materials to community partners and assisting with event set up and tear down.
  • If driving HealthPartners vehicles: Must be age 18 or older and have at least 1 year of driving experience. Must have a valid driver's license and meet all criteria required under HealthPartners's Automobile Liability Guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the needs of diverse & marginalized populations
  • Non-English language spoken or written proficiency
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to develop relationships with community partners with excellent follow-through regarding partnership expectations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Previous experience with community health, outreach, event planning or support, and communications
