School of Visual Studies - College of Arts & Science part-time executive assistant

Job Description

This position provides support to the chair and School of Visual Studies department. This includes interacting with faculty, staff and students.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Handle incoming calls and greet visitors
  • Create a welcoming environment for students, staff, and faculty
  • Provide calendaring support and respond to department emails
  • Create letters as needed for graduate students, adjunct faculty hires, and other needed correspondence
  • Support course scheduling process including entries into MU catalog system.
  • Maintain confidentiality

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to provide exceptional customer service are skills the ideal candidate possesses.

Shift

The work week is anticipated at 28 hours per week.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Anticipated Hiring Range

The salary range for this position is $18.50 to $26.54 per hour. This position is not benefit-eligible.
