This Southern California facility located in Paramount, CA is the world's first large-scale sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) facility. It highlights Air Products commitment to energy transition and supports California's decarbonization by producing renewable aviation fuel.

We are seeking an experienced Electrician with a proven track record of mechanical troubleshooting and electrical installation techniques in commercial, light and heavy industrial environments. Must be able to communicate effectively across technical, operations and maintenance lines. This position requires a high level of situational awareness to ensure your own safety and the safety of those on-site during busy operations involving site traffic, heavy equipment, hazardous materials, and emergency situations.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Follow all safety procedures and use personal protective clothing (PPE) as required
  • Maintain electrical and instrumentation equipment
  • Make periodic inspections for new and existing electrical services (120v, 240v and 480v three phase), including wiring, conduit, panels, breakers, contractors, relays, timers, and controls
  • Perform maintenance and repair work, install/replace fixtures, switches, receptacles, and wiring for industrial construction projects, including new construction, retrofits, remodels, and plant expansions
  • Lead all aspects of the installation of new electrical equipment and test for proper operation
  • Build and install PLCs and perform tests to ensure accurate operation and configuration
  • Conduct meetings with mechanical and electrical engineers to address issues concerning new equipment installations, equipment upgrades and emergencies
  • Frequently called upon in emergency situations to get a plant up and running and do so with minimal downtime
  • Operate a variety of standard power tools, equipment and trenchers in electrical installations, maintenance, and repair activities on a regular basis
  • This is a safety sensitive position

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience
  • Industrial electrical experienced required
  • Must be physically fit (climb ladders and stairs, lift 50 lbs, and work at heights) and able to wear PPE for extended periods of time
  • Able to operate bucket truck, pole/cat, scissor lift, forklift and articulating lift qualifications
  • Ability to read, interpret and work from blueprints, plans, drawings, and specifications and use computerized maintenance management system
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word
  • Possession of or ability to obtain 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training
  • Strong knowledge of applicable state and federal codes and regulations pertaining to the electrical trade, including the National Electric Code and Electrical Safety Orders of the Division of Industrial Safety of the State of California

  • State of California electrician's certification PREFERRED
