Job Summary: Silkscreen, Part Mark & Laser Mark II is an individual who excels in a fast paced, Sheetmetal shop, environment focusing on on-time delivery of parts. This person possesses a strong work ethic, is willing to learn and asks questions about manufacturing processes. They are responsible for making/editing artwork, screens, plates with assistance and applying it to the parts using the correct process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Handle parts with care to avoid damage to finishes
  • Wear proper PPE for job function being performed
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Function in a safe and reliable manner to prevent personal injury and/or property damage
  • Edit and create artwork using computer software (Corel drawing) with assistance
  • Make screens by washing, emulsion, printing mylar and burning with assistance
  • Use epilog to laser mark simple parts and part mark plates with assistance
  • Silkscreen moderately complex parts
  • Can assist Level I team members if needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
  • Good Hand/Eye coordination
  • Moderate ability to read blueprints
  • Moderate understanding of Corel software
  • Understanding of proper Hazardous waste disposal/storage
  • Ability to be flexible on daily tasks

EDUCATION & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • 1 year experience in manufacturing required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to wear a respirator and PPE
  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to operate computers, equipment, hand/power tools, etc., and handle and feel parts of various size
  • Ability to bend, kneel and crouch occasionally throughout the shift
  • Ability to push, pull or lift 50 lbs. moderately throughout the workday
  • Ability to focus vision for: close vision, color vision, depth perception and adjusting to sharp focus
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Noise conditions can be moderate to extreme. Hearing protection will be provided if needed and/or by request
  • Exposure to fumes and/or airborne particles
  • Moving mechanical parts and vibration
  • Fast-paced environment
