Position Overview | The Department of Computer Science welcomes applications for an Assistant Professor of Practice position to begin Fall of 2024. This is a one-year faculty position for the 2024-2025 academic year, with the possibility of renewal. The position is responsible for teaching the equivalent of twelve credits per semester. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence and the promotion of diversity in the computing field. We are particularly interested in candidates able to support required courses in our undergraduate programs, including software development, data structures, algorithms, hardware systems, programming languages, and our senior capstone. The Department offers undergraduate majors in Computer Science and Data Science, Masters programs in Computer and Information Science and Data Science, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science. Department courses are also included in numerous undergraduate and graduate programs across the University. Duties and Responsibilities |

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field and appropriate teaching or professional experience. |
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | Doctoral Degree in Computer Science or a related field (or substantial progress) and teaching experience at a college level. |
