Job Description

Work Schedule:

3rd Shift: 9:30AM- 6:00AM Location: Irvine, CA

Plant & Community Overview:

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Ensuring that all equipment is properly cleaned, sanitized, and inspected for cleanliness.
  • Assist in maintaining the Master Cleaning Schedule.
  • Follow Sanitation procedures according to SOWI's
  • Ensure that Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures are followed as required.
  • Assist the department Coordinator to conduct pre-operation inspections prior to releasing equipment to the Quality Assurance department.
  • Assist to train new Sanitation employees in regards to Safety, work instructions, chemical and material usage and demonstrates the correct method of cleaning equipment.
  • Take full ownership of assigned area of responsibility.
  • Implement safety measures for accident prevention by completing safety observations within your areas.
  • Maintains active working knowledge of all sanitation and cleaning procedures.
  • Ensures sanitizing chemicals, safety equipment, power equipment and manual tools are being used correctly and safely.
  • Maintains all buildings by washing walls, ceilings, floors, removing trash and disinfects all refrigerator units and cleans trash room.


- Sanitation experience in a USDA facility.
- Must be able to Read, Write, and Understand the English Language.
- High school diploma or GED

- 2-4 years of experience is preferred in food manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), must be production oriented and have knowledge of food processing.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and do so periodically throughout an 8 hour shift.
